Kirn Promenade Looking South

This small village is situated on the Cowal Peninsula on the Clyde Estuary and in the Region of Argyll & Bute with a population of approximately 1200. Kirn is located 1 mile to the north of Cowal’s capital, Dunoon, ½ mile south of Hunter’s Quay. Both of these locations are served by a frequent “20 minute crossing” ferry service from Gourock, allowing easy access to the Central belt and Glasgow Airport.  As these ferry terminals will be providing the South West gateway to Scotland’s first National Park, Kirn will once more be on the tourist trail.
