Kirn Gala
Dunoon hosts the annual
world famous, Cowal Highland Games, which take place on the last weekend of August.
As Kirn’s contribution to this event, the “Kirn Gala” is held on the village promenade on the preceding Wednesday evening.
This event provides not only family entertainment, but also a venue for local charities and organisations to hold fundraisers. This year’s Gala will take place on the 24th August 2005.

Santa’s Post Box.
This has also proved very popular with the children. There is a small charge to over postage & stationery.
This project runs from mid November until just before the opening of the Grotto, because, by that time Santa is too busy as he is in residence in Kirn until just before Christmas Eve.

It is the intention that this be held annually after the great response it has received in its first two years.
This runs for 7/8 days prior to Christmas and is unique in the Cowal area, bringing a lot of pleasure to both children and adults alike.
